OPENING DECEMBER 2027
There are places in the world where history was made. Places like Courchevel. The setting for one of the most remarkable stories in the world of mountain aviation, it has now become the setting for one of the most remarkable hotels. Situated at an altitude of over 2,000 meters, and nestled close to the legendary Altiport mountain runway, Lily of the Valley invites you to enjoy a truly exceptional experience, where breathtaking heights and bold choices echo the legacy of this unique location.
Designed by Philippe Starck, this new luxurious hotel will offer 30 refined, elegant suites with terraces that boast spectacular views of Mont Blanc, as well as ski-in ski-out access onto the Trois Vallées ski area. True to the vocation of Lily of the Valley on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, where wellness takes center stage, the Courchevel hotel will offer personalized programs, a variety of sports activities, and treatments of the highest caliber.
Before a road to Courchevel existed, it could only be accessed by air. The Pilatus plane was a witness to this story.
Now a new chapter in the history of Courchevel is about to begin.
The day the Pilatus plane soared into the skies of the Swiss Alps, the destiny of Courchevel's mountains changed. Able to land where no one had ever dared to before, it soon became a legend in high-altitude aviation.
Michel Ziegler, a man with a passion for high mountains and aviation, founded the Air Alpes mountain airline. It was he who marked out the first landing strip at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. So unique was this place that a word had to be invented for it. And thus the name "Altiport" was coined. Both a mountain guide and mountain pilot, Michel Ziegler dedicated his life to bringing people closer to the summits, going so far as to take his aviation expertise to the foothills of the Himalayas.
Located at the foot of the landing strip, the chalet opened to travelers and adopted the name of the legendary plane that carried the first skiers to the summits. Le Pilatus became a new landmark establishment, with a soul that already felt steeped in history.
The Albertville Winter Olympics brought Courchevel to the international stage. The runway was redesigned to accommodate larger aircraft, and the Altiport was forever etched into the Olympics history books.
Alain and Lucie Weill, cofounders of Lily of the Valley, have breathed new life into the iconic Le Pilatus, infusing their bold vision into the highest of Courchevel's hotels. The soul of the place remains unchanged, but the experience it offers is resolutely new.
